About
Gregory lived almost 6 years in St. Petersburg, Russia, studying Russian language and beginner's Philosophy and then Sociology at the State University. He successfully defended his dissertation at the Sociological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 2010 and was awarded the degree - Candidate of Sociological Sciences (PhD).
His interest in the sub-fields of sociology of science, education and development grew in collaboration and work with the Centre for Sociology of Science and Science Studies of the S.I. Vavilov Institute for the History of Science and Technology (http://ihst.nw.ru/eng/). This working relationship included participation in the annual St. Petersburg meetings and conference trips to Kanpur, India, Barcelona, Spain, Rostov and Moscow, Russia.
Gregory currently follows events related the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada (wrt Indian Residential Schools) and its mandate to 2014, with special interest in indigenous knowledge, science and community development. He participates in the on-line Review and Reply Collective at Social Epistemology - Digital Edition (http://social-epistemology.com/).
Gregory is an on-line teacher, tutor, radio/podcast host, translator, editor and freelance journalist in the realms of educational-entertainment, sports & society, the Sochi 2014 Olympic Games, as well as collaborative science, philosophy and religion dialogue. He seeks engagment in the many dialogues of, among and between civilisations that are currently happening around the world, the so-called 'global village', including those in the Middle East.
He currently works as lecturer, researcher and entrepreneur in Vilnius, Lithuania.
